Welcome to PARADISE!!!
See
Costa Rica through the eyes of Costa Ricans!!!
Costa Rica . . . it's
mentioned everywhere.
Nature's
wonderland, with more bird species than in all
of North America, more butterfly species than
in all of Africa . . . all within an easy day's
round trip from the capital, San José.
Cruises
to unpopulated tropic isles . . . ascents to the
craters of smoking volcanoes . . . superb accommodations,
from all-inclusive beach resorts to youth hostels
to inns that recall the days when travel was not
for the masses.
The
booze is cheap (if not everything else), and the
sun is reliable.
And
to top it off, Costa Rica is Latin America's longest-running
democracy, and the Costa Ricans are the continent's
friendliest people.
Gone
are the days when people thought of Costa Rica
as some little-known Caribbean island or confused
it with its war-torn neighbors. A Nobel Peace
Prize has brought prominence, and has caused the
world to take another look at this tropical oasis.
And
the world, liking what it has seen, has kept its
attention on Costa Rica.
Of
course there are problems in travel to Costa Rica,
and the biggest is having so much to choose from!
Do
you want to see the whole country in a week or
two? It's eminently possible.
Do
you want to look into the possibilities of retirement?
Perhaps
a spa vacation, or a week of fishing in two oceans,
or diving among schools of fish that number in
the hundreds or even thousands.
Do
you want to save the tropical forests by visiting
them and learning about their bewildering treasures?
Do you want to plant trees?
Or
maybe your jungle adventure involves floating
down a lazy river, or paddling furiously through
rapids, or enjoying cocktails and an ocean view,
while howler monkeys roar and bicker, and macaws
flitter silently through the air in unearthly
beauty.
